We recently bought a fixer upper in Sunriver. Jeff Payne from Panterra Homes was recommended by our real estate agent to assist us with the remodel. We added one room, a half bath, and new fireplace. Jeff did a great job coordinating permits, scheduling sub contractors, and offering design suggestions. The job was well orchestrated and was kept within our budget. We are very pleased with a job well done and would recommend him to anyone.

Last Spring Jeff helped us with the remodel of a 1920s cottage that had been converted into a commercial/retail space some 25 years ago. The building, formerly known as Westside Video, had been a fixture in the neighborhood dating back to the days when folks would still ride their horses through the west side! It had a lot of potential but needed some TLC and needed someone who had an eye for the details that made it so charming in the first place. It was a pretty challenging job because the building has been haphazardly remodeled in the past and needed a lot of work just to bring in up to code. Jeff grasped the scope of the project quickly and understood where our budget was and the economics behind it. He not only took what information and ideas I had but also came to the table with great conceptual ideas of his own to improve the floor plan and update the exterior. He planned, organized and managed every detail in an efficient manner, meeting with city planners, verifying building codes, consulting with engineers, plumbers, electricians, etc. No detail was too small nor overlooked. His estimates were very clear and concise and we managed to stay under budget. Best of all is Jeffs’ can do’ attitude. We love to work with ‘can do’ people and Jeff certainly is that! Never was there an issue or problem that wasn’t addressed quickly and with a good attitude. Our project was completed on time, under budget, and it looks fantastic! We actually had a lot of foot traffic from potential tenants during the remodel and I attribute that to Jeff and his excellent work. Our job site was always clean and professional. We leased our building soon after the remodel was completed and Jeff was always available to help in transitioning the new tenants and their needs. We highly recommend Jeff Payne of Panterra Homes and look forward to working with him on future projects. Big kudos to him for making a potentially stressful and frustrating situation into an absolutely positive experience. He is truly a pleasure to work with.

In 2007 we decided to build the 1200 square foot home addition we had been planning for sometime. We wanted to hire a contractor that could deliver the project on time and on budget and one that we could work with in a partnering relationship, since the addition was to be a joint project with the contractor responsible for building the structure and us responsible for the interior materials and their installation. This meant a close working relationship on scheduling our items with the contractor’s items. We interviewed five local contractors including Panterra Homes. They ranged from large companies to small one-person firms. Panterra Homes was the only firm that met all of our criteria. I was as much interested in who would be managing the project as I was with price, quality and schedule. From my experience in construction, the key to success is the contractor’s project manager and his skills in personal communications, scheduling and problem solving. Jeff Payne was the proposed project manager. I must say that we were very impressed with Jeff throughout the construction and new very early in the process that we had selected the right company to do our addition. He was on the job every day; he worked with the City’s permit staff effectively; he scheduled his subcontractors so that here was little to no down time (something was going on everyday); and he provided the daily communications that we needed to schedule our suppliers and contractors. Plan changes were handled in a timely and professional manner and there were no surprises at the end of the contract. He completed the project on time in four months as proposed and on budget. After almost three years, we are still enjoying our new addition and are completely satisfied with the work that Panterra Homes did. We would hire them again for any projects we might do.
